3A (Hair Type)

3A hair is defined by a loopy “S” curl pattern. It has a very fine texture and can be easily straightened using a blow dryer.

3B (Hair Type)

3B hair has a similar “S” curl pattern to that of 3A hair, but is more voluminous and tighter than 3A hair. It is characterized as a “medium” curl, not too loopy, but not completely spiral.

3C (Hair Type)

3C hair type is characterized by a coily curl. It is often referred to as the “corkscrew” curl because of the shape of the curl ringlets. It is more voluminous and has a tighter curl pattern than 3A/B hair.

4A (Hair Type)

4A hair type is a tightly coiled curl. It is denser and retains more moisture than type 3 hair. It has an “S” pattern when stretched, similar to that of 3C hair.

4B (Hair Type)

4B hair type is has a kind of “Z” shaped curl. It has a more fluffy appearance, as the hair bends in sharp angles. The shrinkage of this hair type is 75%, allowing for much versatility with styles.

4C (Hair Type)

4C hair type is very similar to 4B except that it is more tightly coiled and has a fluffier appearance. 4C hair has a very much shrinkage and doesn’t need to be manipulated to achieve a chic round shape.
